I've always found these exercises in self-summary a rather odd task. This opening sentence alone has spanned three locations and three coffees in an attempt to find the perfect line... Convinced yet?
People are so many things, and perhaps describing oneself is best left to friends and enemies in a Google review that hopefully sees you come out the other side with a solid 3-star rating.
What I can tell you is that after writing for more than 10 years, in a career that's seen me create in all forms for some of the world's biggest brands, I've discovered a few things.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching and mentoring, so you'll find me leaning heavily into my leadership skills, and guiding those who need and appreciate it.
You fail at the margins of your experience. Intentionally make yourself uncomfortable, as often as possible. This is where true growth lies. I have to remind myself of this all the time.
Creativity is for everyone and it's everywhere - a shift in perspective will do wonders when you hit the proverbial wall.
So that's me, a tad over-caffeinated, but these mantras and views have served me well, so thanks for taking a moment to read this small glimpse into my process.

I’ve always enjoyed teaching and mentoring and stepping into my role as Creative Group Head has allowed me to tap into and further develop my leadership qualities.
Connecting with, understanding, and guiding those around me has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and my personal growth during this time has been exponential. While continuing to creatively run large accounts with my AD partner, we also oversee several other brands within the studio.

Lead copywriter and Creative Group Head on Heineken® SA with my AD partner. The Brand had been hugely affected by restrictions and alcohol bans during COVID, however, that didn’t stop our team from creating highly effective, agile work that ensured the brand thrived during uncertain times.

I expanded my role as a Copywriter to incorporate design, digital marketing and strategy for an online fitness platform called BoxChamp.
My responsibilities included social media writing and design, digital marketing, and strategy, as well as technical support. Stepping out of a purely creative role was a refreshing eye-opener.

Conceptualising and writing for multiple platforms with the majority of work lying in Digital advertising. As the only writer in the agency, my job was to make sure that art directors know that writers aren’t obsolete. Responsible for, and oversaw all writing jobs
within the agency across brands such as Hasbro Toys (PlayDoh, Transformers) Southern Comfort and Dermikelp.
